Message Body

I just learned tonight that Don Dorman passed away yesterday at the age of 90.  Don had built the Deuce I have, and he did one hell of a job.  I met him after I bought his plane and we became friends.  He was always excited about any modifications I did and was extremely happy that it was giving such pleasure to someone who enjoyed the fruits of his endeavors.  Don started building at the age of 57, and finished at the age of 80.  He flew N39796 for seven years before selling it to me (through Austin Cole) and it has been the sweetest flying Deuce I've ever been in.  Don, who lived in California, visited me twice in Florida, and he was always quite the gentleman.  I just wanted to make one last connection for Don to the Deuce community and to acqknowledge his accomplishment, and I will miss him.  Sam White
