Rick, the load will be on the rear bolts that hold
the legs up to the frame(longerons) It will put the rear bolts in greater tension. I don't offhand  remember what the bolt size is. I want to say 1/4-28. Is that right?
And on the orig drawings the bolts went through the longerons. (UGH) That was soooo bad. Anyway,
look around and see if there is another way to bolster that up a little back there. Maybe add another brace that doesn't go through the frame.
There is no problem of structural failure, or fear
of in flight failure, but lots of shitty landings could sure bend stuff in that area. Austin
