Well, I guess in that case the longitudinal rigidity is taken care of by the bridge consisting of the rear cabane rising out of the longeron, up to the center section, forward to the other cabane struts and down to the longeron as it goes forward to the firewall.  I don't know how my doors in the red deuce were or were not reinforced, but I am more comfortable with the ones Don put in the one I have now.  Sam
