| Cary, one of the certification conditions for experimental aircraft is that the owner notify the big brother when any significant modifications are made to the aircraft. I forget the exact paperwork requirement and defining verbage for "significant modification", but I would think a twenty percent weight gain would place your aircraft in this catagory. Someone else on the forum will probably have the latest on this, but I am guessing you need to follow through on it with paperwork. While doing this paperwork you should also increase the gross weight. The major concern I would think is maximum landing weight and you have already handled that with the beefed up gear. Mike |
