Kerry, Why so much the difference? Did you determine this? The plane was completely empty of fuel during this weighing? Level? That is significantly heavy if so. Depending on how big your nose tank was built (this seems to vary) you would only be able to handle a 113-140lb pilot and no passenger with a full fuel load. Not knowing your datum point and such, I am guessing a little bit basing it on my plane's measurements. But, that would seem a bit of a heavy tail. Looks like it moves the CG aft more than 2". How heavy are you? If you have a aft CG your weight could really mess it up, that would likely explain the problem getting the tail up. Cary |
